Recently, I completed my sweet holiday romance, Aloha to Love. The setting includes a cruise ship bound for Hawaii, and the Hawaiian islands.
It’s been said that a cruise ship has enough food to serve a
small country, so it was difficult to choose which foods to mention, but I came
up with the following:
1. Made-to-order omelets and waffles.
2. Fresh pasta.
3. Frozen yogurt and ice cream stations.
4. Caramelized cheesecake and my personal favorite, tiramisu.
5. Formal dinners featuring an international cuisine.
Now it’s your turn. If you’ve ever been on a cruise, what
foods did you like the best?

We got married on a cruise ship and honeymooned on the cruise to Belize. My favorite part was the afternoon buffet. We always came back to the ship early when it was quiet and practically empty. We had lunch on the deck, in the same spot every day, overlooking the ocean. I always went to the international buffet and sampled a new cuisine daily. Spanish, French, German - No particular favorites, just exciting to try EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely memory! I'd be the same way--excited to try everything. :)
DeleteJosie, I've never been on a cruise ship, but would love to give it a whirl. My husband has a phobia about being in a ship and being in the air. I guess that means I'm "grounded." Lol
ReplyDeleteThat's OK, Laurean. There's always armchair travel.
DeleteMy husband and I have wanted to take a cruise to Alaska but the trip keeps being put off for one reason after another. I'd probably overeat and gain a size. Armchair travel is easy and cheaper so for now I'll settle for ALOHA TO LOVE. I know I'll enjoy it as much as I have your other books.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I have cruised twice. Last time was last year for our 40th wedding anniversary. We found Lobster and Molten Chocolate Lava Cake to be out of this world.
