I prefer eating outdoors in the summer. To make meals even
more festive, consider these tips. And remember, keep it simple!
1. String a set of outdoor bistro lights for a
celebratory flair. I love these bulbs, and have them hanging in my sun porch.
2. Arrange a floral bouquet from your seasonal garden
as an impromptu centerpiece.
3. Consider a long outdoor bench that can seat lots of people. Plus, that type of seating is
flexible for kids and pets.
4. Use lots of color. Mismatched acrylic glasses and
plates are fun. The more vibrant, the better.
5. Choose your outdoor furniture to handle all kinds of
weather.

caring for her younger brother. When the offer from Perfect Match to enjoy a
week on an island of her choice arrived, she hesitated.
But not for long.
But not for long.
She’d
always wanted to visit Corsica. Besides, who passed up free?
All right, so she'd spend the week with a match. On her dating profile, she’d added that she was a workaholic. Hopefully, so was he.

I do enjoy eating outside, just haven't done it since moving and not around family anymore.
ReplyDeleteEating outside is a real treat, Becky. Everything seems to taste better.
DeleteI love it unless you have to fight bugs, especially wasps or bees!! We have a couple of portable shelters with screens for the sides
ReplyDeleteGlenda, I completely understand. There are many times when I prefer to eat in my screened-in back porch. :)
DeleteWe have a beautiful deck. First it was too cold, then too hot, then we had carpenter bees which freaked out the granddaughters, now it has poured rain -deluge- for over a week. So item #1on the list to enjoy outdoor dining is good weather without bugs.
ReplyDeleteVery true. We also had a problem with carpenter bees at our house this year, too.
DeleteI love the outdoors, and often my husband and I will grab a drink or bite on our covered, but unscreened patio where we watch the birds and wildlife. In fact, I love the flora so much that during the cold months, we always have a bouquet of flowers on our dinner table to brighten the room and remind us warm weather will arrive in the future. Great post. I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy. And I try to place a vase of fresh flowers on my kitchen table every day.
DeleteAwesome ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth!
